Conservation easement baseline investigations were conducted on the properties of private landowners as part of the baseline documentation for a conservation easement with Raisin Valley Land Trust. When the Land Trust approached Nativescape about the service they did not previously include natural features or wetland inventory in their baseline documentation. After our first report they will always include these inventories in future conservation baseline investigations.
A site survey was conducted on each property to document existing conditions, existence of unique natural features and their extent. These investigations consisted of preliminary natural feature inventories, wetland determinations, wetland delineations and map source research and an overall assessment to determine the existing ecosystem types, soil types, and hydrology of each property. Site visits and literature and mapping investigations were done to determine the extent and quality of existing vegetation, wetlands and wildlife use of the site.
