In the City of Farmington Hills Planning Department a two (2) mile stretch of median was planted with native species on Northwest Highway. The natural landscape design was developed with goals to reduce maintenance and beautify the corridor. A two year establishment plan was developed to ensure the success of the project; this was completed in 2007.
