Natural landscaping and storm water management systems were designed using Rain Gardens and Native Michigan wetland and upland habitats for Cannon Township Hall. This provides on-site storm water treatment and reduced landscape maintenance. The site serves as an educational demonstration to constituents of alternative BMP’s for landscaping, storm water management, and habitat restoration.
This project involved site investigations of soil type, hydrology, BMP development, and native species composition for the system. A landscape plan was developed. Nativescape supervised construction of a subcontractor for installation and a two year establishment plan was developed..
